We certified the energy of our Cachimayo plant as green. This certification allows us to produce greener products and therefore contribute to the decarbonization of Enaex and our customers.
Cachimayo Plant, is the only plant in Peru, where ANFO grade ammonium nitrate is manufactured. We have a production capacity of 36Mton/year.
In Enaex Peru we are 246 employees, distributed among the administrative offices, mining operations where we provide service and production plants of Vegueta and Cachimayo.
In 2019, we completed the construction of the most modern emulsion plant in Peru with a production capacity of 10Mton/year and can reach up to 20Mton/year. We also offer to the mining industry products such as: ammonia, nitric acid, gas and liquid nitrogen, industrial oxygen and demineralized water.
Enaex purchases Industrias Cachimayo which allows Enaex to expand its local production capacity with the installation of the most modern matrix emulsion plant with a production capacity of 10MTon/year and the strategic location in the southern zone of Peru.
Enaex re-enters Peru by purchasing Chemtrade, thus initiating its active participation in the Peruvian market with the supply of explosives services with the complete line of products and the blasting service with the incorporation of Milodon® high tonnage factory trucks.
Industras Cachimayo was acquired by YURA S.A., a member of the GLORIA Group, continuing with normal operations.
Industrias Cachimayo diversifies its production with the production of Technical Ammonium Nitrate and ANFO Grade Ammonium Nitrate, thus entering the mining market.
Industrias Cachimayo was inaugurated in the presence of President Fernando Belaunde Terry, as the Cachimayo Nitrogen Fertilizer Factory.
In 1962, the construction of Industrias Cachimayo began by the German Consortium UHDE FERROSTAL HOCHTIEF and the Corporation for Reconstruction and Development of Cusco (CRIF).
