Expanfo™

Expanfo™ is an innovative ANFO (Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil) product where, in addition to natural porosity, sensitising microspheres are included in each Ammonium Nitrate Prill. Expanfo™ gives superior hanging-wall control and generally more consistent and predictable blast results, especially in tough blasting conditions or when the product is initiated without a primer. Emex®

Emex® is a cartridged emulsion explosive, designed for typical hard rock development, tunneling or very tough stoping conditions. The emulsion is robust and sensitisation with microspheres ensures excellent shelf-life and reliability of detonation. It is a firm, water resistant cartridge which has a formidable consistency for tamping. The high velocity of detonation (VOD) and relatively lower gas volumes (compared to ANFO and watergel) ensure finer fragmentation in tough ground whilst limiting over-break.
