For more than a 100 years, Enaex has been growing in Latin America, becoming the regional leader in producing high quality explosive grade (low-density) ammonium nitrate and developing extensive & comprehensive rock fragmentation services for the mining industry.
Since opening its first subsidiary in Argentina in 2007, Enaex has been continuing growing outside of Chile, a new cycle started with the acquisition of one-third of Britanite in Brazil in 2012 and starting operations in the Peruvian market in 2014.
2015 is a turning point into the internationalization of Enaex with two major acquisitions: finalizing the acquisition of 100% of Britanite and purchasing Davey Bickford, which completes our blasting services capabilities with the expertise in electronics detonators and expands its global reach thanks to Davey Bickford subsidiaries all around the world.
In 2018, Enaex USA commissioned an emulsion plant in Utah.
Then, Enaex became the major partner in a joint-venture with Sasol in South Africa during 2019, creating Enaex Africa.
In 2021, Enaex expands its presence in Australia while closing the purchase of Downer Blasting Services, creating Enaex Australia which enables Enaex full blasting capabilities in Australia adding to the existing expertise from Davey Bickford Enaex Australia on electronic initiation systems since 2009.
Exporting its ammonium nitrate and electronic initiation systems around the world among other products, producing detonators, high explosives and added value emulsions locally, Enaex is on its way to accomplish its vision of becoming the preferred premium blasting solution partner in all main mining regions.
