We have a clear sustainability strategy leveraged on the three pillars of ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance).

Environment

In the environmental area, we have set ourselves the goal of reducing scope 1 emissions by 30% by 2030 and scope 2 emissions by 40% by 2035 to become net zero by 2050. In addition, we have set the goal of reducing water use by 40% by 2040 in water-stressed areas.

The other significant challenges are circular economy and biodiversity projects.

Our focus is on generating shared value projects within the communities where we operate. We also work hard on safety for life care and meet our corporate goal of 30% female talent by 2030.

Our actions define us as our impact, so at Enaex, we have been working for a long time to promote and forge a more humanized mining future.

Enaex Materiality Matrix

Our company has developed a materiality process for the years 2017, 2022 and 2024 to determine our main material issues. Different stakeholders participated: workers (including management), suppliers, customers, communities and investors with a total of 1,248 responses.

In this material topics update process, a total of 19 material topics were identified where 12 of these are critical topics, and 7 of these 12 coincide with topics raised in the previous materiality process. The results of our materiality assessment are signed off by senior management and detailed in our Corporate Sustainability Report.

Enaex Materiality

Since 2023, we have worked with each subsidiary of the Company to align the corporate goals and objectives to the U.N. 2030 Agenda. The differences between each subsidiary are seen in the diversity of the SDGs that they are prioritizing. However, all these goals are aligned to the corporate Sustainability Strategy and ultimately represent a consolidation of the SDGs with which we are working cohesively as a group.

Human Rights:

In one of the Company’s strategic planning processes, Enaex set the goal of moving forward to establish and work with the foundations of the Company’s commitment to declare, evaluate, measure, and mitigate any type of Human Rights violation.
